About

Olivier Raymond obtained his Master’s degree in advanced luxury and design studies (MAS, Luxe 2011) from the ECAL / the Cantonal Art School of Lausanne, Switzerland. While still a student, he began working with some of Europe’s most prestigious brands, such as Audemars Piguet, Baccarat and de Sede.

After graduation, Olivier joined the ranks of Porsche Design in Zell am See, Austria;  first as an intern, and soon after invited to take part in the design process for various projects, making his creative mark along the way. While in this position, he also designed in-house products specifically for Porsche Design GmbH, as well as creating concepts for reputable clients such as Samsung, Porsche AG and Vitra. In 2014, Olivier embarked on a new mandate with the “detail division” of the interior design department at the Mercedes-Benz Design, in Stuttgart, Germany. His role was to infuse sensual aesthetics into functional products; from the brand’s upcoming range of steering wheels, to its next car key.

Olivier has always been driven by a desire to collaborate with like-minded creatives that embody strong talent and varied experiences to produce global design strategies. With this vision in mind, he launched Olivier Raymond Studio in 2017, upon his return to Montreal. Olivier continues to pursue his quest for the intersection of industrial process with that of human sensitivity by visually communicating to a clientele that is appreciative of distinct elegance, durable quality, and functional simplicity.
